This piece was created for a Celtic foraging event and is centred around a Celtic knot (triskelion), which represents the past, present, and future, as well as the cycle of life. The figures surrounding the knot symbolise the process of aging and the traditional seasonal dress of the Celts, each engaged in seasonal activities. From the child planting seeds, to the older girl holding a sickle, to the fallen apple, and finally the elderly woman facing Death, the imagery reflects the natural progression of life and the turning of the seasons.
